Congratulations to Doug Bankston of Sandston, VA, 3rd Talent Search Winner of 2010

The talent search competition is open to country music performers of all ages! Donk's conducts four talent searches throughout the season. The winner of each contest returns to compete in the final competition held in November. The winner of the final competition receives a monetary award, a trophy and a guest spot on a Donk's show in 2011!

Contestants should report to Donk's Theater between 6 and 7 p.m. on the evening of the show to register. Price of admission is the entry fee. Contestants may perform alone or they may use the Shades of Country band for their performance. Because of space and time limitations, the competition is not open to bands. Each competitor should choose and prepare two country songs (please see recommended song list for options). Each contestant will meet with the band, select one of those songs to perform for the audience and judges, and determine the right key and arrangement. Contestants remain in the audience until they are called to report back stage. First, second and third place prizes are awarded.
